The action continues and the games are getting more interesting at the two ATP 500 tournaments this week in Basel and Vienna respectively.
Certainly the Greek public will want to watch the game of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who plays against Ričardas Berankis. The Lithuanian, who started from the qualifiers, surprised everyone in the previous round by excluding Spaniard Pablo Andújar, with considerable ease.
Today’s program at the Swiss Indoors Basel opens with the game between David Goffin and Reilly Opelka. The game that stands out, however, is that of fellow American Frances Tiafoe against Swiss Stan Wawrinka, who is going through a renaissance period and will definitely want to win in front of his audience.
In the other tournament, Dominic Thiem competes against Fernando Verdasco, and wants the win to go one step further in his coveted trophy victory in front of his compatriots. The program at the Erste Bank Open begins with a competitive match between Diego Schwartzman and Sam Querrey.
