AO2019 – Tuesday 22/01 – Order of Play

The first games for the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in Men’s and Women’s Singles start in a few hours.

Of course, the eyes of all Greek fans will be focused on the effort of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who opens the program tomorrow, facing the Spanish Bautista Agut at around 03:30 Greek time.

After the historic triumph against King Roger Federer, the Greek champion has to face a very difficult opponent, who has been on fire from the beggining of the season, having only wins in his games so far (9 in total) and having won, among others, the No. 1 in the world, Novak Djokovic in the Doha Final, winning the Qatar Open.

Afterwards, is set to start the first quarter-final for Women’s Singles, between the two surprises of the tournament so far, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Danielle Collins. Then the Australian audience will welcome Ashleigh Barty, who will try to continue her amazing tournament and with the help of her compatriots hopes to overcom the resistance of Petra Kvitova.

Finally, the tournament will end with the second quarter-final for the Men’s Singles, between Rafael Nadal and Frances Tiafoe.
