Australian Open Draw

The draw for the first Grand Slam of the season to be held in Melbourne, Australia from January 14th to January 27th, with the presence of Roger Federer and Caroline Wozniacki, was completed earlier today.

The draw both for men and women pretends for an exciting tournament with games that will catch our attention from the very first round.

In men, the first-round games that stand out are those between the always unpredictable Nick Kyrgios and No. 16 of the board Milos Raonic but also the one betwwen the 2014’s winner Stan Wawrinka and Ernests Gulbis. The winners of these two games will face each other in the 2nd round. Equally interesting is the gmae between No. 6 of the board Marin Cilic and Australian Bernard Tomic.

Stephanos Tsitsipas, who starts from No 14 of the board, had a relatively easy draw as he will play against the Italian Matteo Berrettini.

Title holder Caroline Wozniacki will debut against Alison Van Uytvanck while the No. 1 of the board and in the world rankings Simona Halep will face Kaia Kanepi.

Maria Sakkari will have a difficult job against No 22 of the board Jelena Ostapenko.
