Spain and Australia are the next two teams to secure their place in the quarter-finals after yesterday’s results.
The Australians had a great day with both Nick Kyrgios and Alex de Minaur, who won relatively easy the Belgians, Steve Darcis and David Goffin respectively, and will meet with Canada in the first quarter-final that is scheduled for today afternoon.
With the same comfort, the Spanish hosts won all the games against the Croats and advanced to the next round. The Croats didn’t meet the expectations underperforming throughout the tournament and bid farewell from the group stage, unable to defend the title they won last year.
In another important game of the day yesterday, the Germans made an impressive debut in the tournament by clearly defeating the Argentinians with 3-0 and if they double their wins against Chile today, they will qualify for the quarter-finals.
Today’s program also highlights the match between Serbia and France with the winner taking the first place and the qualification. A close tight is also expected in the tie between Great Britain and Kazakhstan, which will also decide the first place in the group.
