The 21-year-old Greek tennis player, No. 6 in the world rankings, lost 7-5, 6-4 to 30-year-old Slovenian Aljaz Bedene, No. 52 and was eliminated from the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament quarterfinals in Rotterdam.
In the first set Bedene was excellent in his serve, leaving no room for Tsitsipas to break it. Moreover, the Slovenian at the most decisive point, just before the tie break, and while the score was 6-5, made the only break in the set and overcame Tsitsipas 7-5.
The collapse of the Greek tennis player continued in the second set, where, being completely frustrated, losed his serve in the third set, chasing a break that never came, and finally losing 6-4.

Stefanos aims now to Marseille, where he will try to defend his last year title. In terms of ranking, he remains at No. 6 in the world rankings.
