Karolína Plíšková and Naomi Osaka won today’s games and sealed the last two spots in the semifinals in the Women’s Singles.
In the most thrilling game so far for Women’s Singles, Plíšková gave it all until the end and has perhaps achieved the most important victory of her career against Serena Williams with 6-4, 4-6, 7-5, reaching for the first time the Australian Open semifinals.
In the first quarter-final of the day, Naomi Osaka, the new big star of women’s tennis, prevailed relatively easily over Elina Svitolina with a 6-4, 6-1 victory and quilified for the first time in the Australian Open semifinals.
The Women’s Singles semi-finals will be held on Thursday morning.
