Federer: “Stefanos was better”!

“There are always many factors that play a role in a fight that lead to defeat, but I certainly have to confess that I did not go as I hoped to break points. That was something that disappointed me. Today I lost from a better opponent, the credits belongs to Stefanos.” Said the 37-year-old Swiss at the press conference after the end of the match in Melbourne.

And continuing, he added: “I had to win the second set. I had to do it. I played well. I did not lose from a bad player. I lost from someone who will be at the top for many years.

In the end, Federer announced his decision on the journalists to play this year in the grinding season. He will also announce the tournaments he will participate in.
