Finals’ Day

Week No 15 of the tennis calendar is finished today with four finals.

Starting from Lugano, Switzerland, and the final of the Samsung Open, where the 17 year old Iga Świątek from Poland will claim the first WTA title of her career. Her Opponent in the game will be the more experienced Polona Hercog.

The teenager tennis player in her just third appearance in a WTA tournament’s main board has made excellent appearances and in yesterday’s semi-final needed just 54 minutes to win Kristyna Pliskova with 6-0, 6-1.

Up next the final of Grand Prix Hassan II, held in Marrakech. There, the Frenchman Benoît Paire will face Spanish Pablo Andújar in a game that is expected to be fairly ambitious.

In the other tournament for the ATP Tour, finalists Christian Garín and Casper Ruud will claim the first ATP title of their career.

Finally, in Bogota, Colombia, Amanda Anisimova and Astra Sharma will also compete for the first time in their career in a WTA final, that of Claro Open Colsanitas.
