Maria Sakkari managed to win her first victory after long, winning young tennis player Olga Danilovic with 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Although Sakkari showed a vicious self on the tennis board and found himself losing with 1-6, 0-2 from the young Serb, she quickly realized she was frustrated with herself, indicated her mental courage, patience and compassion and so she qualified in the 2nd round of the Miami Open.
The Greek champion scored the big break as she turned her match and managed to prevail against Olga Danilovic, who showed her to be annoyed and lost her patience, breaking into tears before the game was over.
Maria, who had reached the third round of the Miami Open last year, will have a very difficult mission in her next match, as she will face No. 2 in the world ranking, Petra Kvitova.
