The 23-year-old Greek tennis player was sweeping in her first match for the Korean Open, dominated all areas of Anna Karolina Schmiedlova and took the impressive victory 6-0, 6-1 in more than an hour.
This was Maria’s third victory against Schmiedlova. She had won her again the other two times in 2016 in Istanbul and Tashkent.
She is No. 32 in the world and No. 3 on the Korea Open dashboard qualified for the “16” best of the WTA International category and there will be face a Russian woman player, either Margarita Gasparyan either Varvara Flink.
