Rafael Nadal celebrated his victory over Joao Sousa and qualified for the 39th time in his Grand Slam quarter-finals career. The 33-year-old Spaniard prevailed against the Portuguese with 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. Rafa performed a very good match, completing it with 29 winners and 10 effortless bugs. He did not allow his opponent to take the upper hand in the claim and reach a break point.
Now series for Nadal have the quarter-finals, where he will be confronted by the 31-year-old American, Sam Querrey.
The race is expected to begin tomorrow, Wednesday 10/7.
