Jokovic’s psychically strong and worthy winner!

After a game that lasted 4 hours and 55 minutes, Novak Djokovic took the 5th title in the Wimbledon 2019 Championship with 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 13-12 (3) against Roger Federer. This fight was judged at the tie and tie break as both were mentally and physically very strong.

Djokovic asked what would happen if he did not need to face Federer and Nadal during his career, and he said:

“I think there are many benefits to the sport because of this. Obviously, I was not so happy to be part of the Federer-Nadal season at the beginning of my career. I did not win many of the major tournaments. ”

“This is a different story right now. I think I’m very grateful to be part of this era. They made me a better player. I have talked about it many times, that they have completed my game. They made me figure out what to do to overcome the biggest challenge and that’s how I can win against these players in a major tournament.

“I think the rivalry we have between our three and Andy [Murray], of course, may have pointed out the last 10, 15 years of professional men’s tennis. I see many positive ones. I think the sport has benefited a great deal from these rivalries, we all win a lot.

The 33-year-old Serb has now won 16 Grand Slam single trophies, with only Rafael Nadal (18) and Federer (20) ahead of the list of leaders of all time.

Federer had the chance and hoped to be the second in tennis history ( since Stan Wawrinka in 2014 at the Australian Open) to win Nadal and Djokovic in the same championship, but he did not.

In statistics, Federer was better at all points but failed to win as Djokovic won at all critical points. Therefore, tennis does not always win the stats.
