Thanassis Kokkinakis, a 23-year-old Greek-Australian, will be at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on Friday morning, where he will face Rafael Nadal. Their fight is expected to attract the attention of many spectators as Kokkinakis explains, he will not face the race with fear but will trust his abilities.
“I know I have the potential to win the best players. I’ll just go out there and be like every other fight. I can definitely do some things. That holds me here. If I thought I would have the ceiling at No. 100, or No. 60 – No. 70, then I would have hung my rackets for sure, “Thanassis Kokkinakis said.
“I’m going to give myself a chance. It’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be very demanding physically, but I feel ready. I know he’ll play, I’ve seen enough. I’ll play my game and see what happens. I’ve played with several. left-handed in the previous tournament, so I would behave as if I were facing a much better version of them all. ”
