Nishikori «broke the curse»!

Almost three years after winning his 11th title, Kei Nishikori added today a 12th ATP Tour trophy to his Brisbane International collection.

Although the game did not start well for Nishikori he finally managed to defeat Daniil Medvedev with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

He won 70% of the points (31/44) in two hours and four minutes and became the first Japanese champion in Brisbane.

For Medvedev, this was the 5th final of his career, 4th in the last 12 months.

Nishikori will receive 250 points in ATP Ranking and collect $ 90,990 prize money for the trophy. Medvedev, on the other hand, earns 150 points in the ATP world rankings and $ 49,205.
