Karolina Pliskova passed relatively easily the obstacle of Simona Halep in the semifinal that ended at dawn and will meet in the grand final of the Miami Open with Ashleigh Barty, which had already taken the qualification beating on Anett Kontaveit in the first semifinal.
The match between two of the top tennis players, Plíšková and Halep, was a derby only in the first set, which Plíšková won by 7-5. In the second set, Halep never appeared, unable to compete with the excellent Plíšková, who took the second set with a score of 6-1 and together the qualification in the final.
The Czech, No. 7 in the world rankings will compete for the first time in the Miami Open final and will try to reach its 13th WTA title.
Her opponent in the final, Barty, No. 11 in the world, will similarly be found for the first time in the final of this tournament and will try to get her 4th WTA title.
