In less than a week, the Hopman Cup begins in Perth, Australia, where some of the biggest names in the modern history of the sport will be present. Of course, there will be King Roger Federer and Queen Serena Williams, who will be confronted on the same court during the US-Swiss match for the Group B. This particular match for the mixed doubles, is considered by many to be the most prestigious game in the 30-year history of the tournament.
The two superstar will arrive in Perth this week to represent their countries and lead them to the top.
S. Williams will compete in Australia for the first time since conquering the Australian Open in 2017 while she was pregnant. On the other hand, Federer wants to defend the title he won last year for Switzerland with Belinda Bencic.
Let us remind you that in the Hopman Cup, we are also looking forward to the presence of Greece with the two leading Greek tennis players Stephanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari competing in the same group with Switzerland, USA and Great Britain. The two Greek champions will begin their effort on Saturday 29/12 at the opening session of the tournament against Cameron Norrie and Katie Boulter, who represent Great Britain.
