Without surprises, the second day of the races continued in the women’s category, where the first victory in the tournament of the Greek champion Maria Sakkari stood out.
In the rest of the games the favorites confirmed the predictions and they easily or hardly got the ticket for the next stage.
The Danish Caroline Wozniacki, despite having suffered a lot, especially in the first set, managed to prevail against Collins 2-0, 7-6 (2), 6-1. The Australian Open holder is not in the best position but her experience classifies her as one of the favorites to win the title.
Petra Kvitova, who had to make the overturning over to Veronica Cepede Royg, won 2-1, 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 and she also secured a place in the next round.
