Roland Garros’s second week begins with the first matches of the 4th round.

At 12:00 noon action will begin in Roland Garros’ courts. The 8 first races for the 4th round will be hosted on the two large courts, Court Philippe Chatrier and Court Suzanne Lenglen.
The “curtain” on the 8th day at Philippe Chatrier will be opened by Madison Keys and Mihaela Buzarnescu. At 14:00 o’clock will be Dominic Thiem’s showdown with Kei Nishikori. Anett Kontaveit will play with Sloane Stephens, while Novak Djokovic will play with Fernando Verdasco in the last match of the pitch.
The first strong men’s derbies are fact. Dominic Thiem and Novak Djokovic will play against very strong opponents, measuring their strenght for the title in Paris, aiming at the eight best of the tournament.
Dominic Thiem faces Kei Nishikori from whom he has not been able to score sets at their two previous meetings (Rome 2015, Halle 2016).
Novak Djokovic has five consecutive wins on Fernando Verdasco in the last matches, however the overall score in their soil matches is 3-3.
At Suzanne Lenglen, Alexander Zverev will face Karen Khachanov. Then Barbora Strycova will meet with Yulia Putintseva, followed by David Goffin and Marco Cecchinato. Finally, Caroline Wozniacki, who is claiming No. 1 in the world ranking, will face Daria Kasatkina.
