Sakkari fought till the end.

The draw was difficult from the beginning as the Greek tennis player was called to face in Round 3, No 14 in the WTA rankings, Daria Kasatkina from Russia. However, Maria looked in the eyes the Russian and fought till the end, managing to win the second set with 6-1. In the third and most crucial set, however, Kasatkina played extremely well and did not leave Sakkari a chance to threaten it, winning 6-3.

In the rest of the games that started earlier today at the 6th day of Rollan Garros, only that of Madison Keys against Naomi Osaka has been completed, with the American winning with 2-0 sets (6-1, 7-6).

At the moment Zverev and Dimitrov are losing 2-1 and 2-0 sets respectively by Dzumhur and Verdasco and are both confronted with an early and painful elimination.

Djokovic’s game against Bautista Agut has just started.
