The 8 Australians #NextGenATP in action!

Australian #NextGenATP Alexei Popyrin made a very good start in Wimbledon by winning Federico Coria with 6-2, 7-5, and so went into the qualifying round of the 2nd round.

Popyrin is trying to do the best he can in order to qualify in November at NextGenATP final in Milan. 19-year-old Alexei earlier this year managed to get to the third round of the Australian Open where he lost to the semifinal by Lucas Pouille.

Popyrin is not the only Australian to progress dynamically so far, as the 8 Australians participating in the Wimbledon tournament have gone through the second round, such as Alex Bolt, who also reached the third round in Melbourne and was eliminated with a 2- 6, 7-5, 12-10 by Jannik Sinner. The other Australians who also went well in round 1 are James Duckworth, Andrew Harris, Jason Kubler, Marc Polmans, Akira Santilla, and John Patrick Smith.
