The Italian who wrote history

Fabio Fognini is considered the first Italian to win one of the most important ATP tournaments at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. The famous but most famous tennis player managed to win the win against Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-4, not only proud of his family but also of his compatriots. The 31-year-old tennis player leveled his Serbian opponent in less than 2 hours, although half of the second set was injured badly after a wrong move.

Fognini has earned eight titles on clay soil so far, but the current seems to have more emotional value for himself. He was one of the most important victories for his career since he became the first Italian champion in the Monte-Carlo Masters since 1968 and the great Nicola Pietrangeli.
