Stefanos Tsitsipas had an amazing performance, beating Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-2, and secured a place at the semifinals of the tournament.
The 21-year-old tennis player was really enjoyable, leaving no room for the German to question his superiority in yesterday’s game. In his post-game statements he said, among other things, “I was surprised by my performance … I did everything right. I was not alone on the court, but with a lot of people. I’m just playing my game, I have a clear plan in my mind, I know what to do. It’s difficult when opponents find solutions in your game. You have to adapt and I try to be unpredictable. I have devoted a lot of time to improve mainly on my service. I enjoy working with my whole team.”
In yesterday’s other game, Rafael Nadal overcame Daniil Medvedev and kept his hopes of qualification. Necessary of course for this is to beat Tsitsipas in the last game of the group stage.
