The quarter-final action at Arthur Ashe Stadium begins at 7pm this afternoon. Elina Svitolina and Johanna Konta will open the quarterfinals, which will compete for a place in the US Open semifinals.
A little later, at around 9pm Greek time, Daniil Medvedev will face off against 2016 champion Stan Wawrinka, seeking his 11th consecutive victory and his first qualification to the semifinal Grand Slam.
Two hours after midnight, Serena Williams will enter Arthur Ashe Stadium, where she will face off against 27-year-old Chinese Qiang Wang, claiming her 24th Grand Slam title.
The US Open quarterfinals will end with Roger Federer’s fight against Grigor Dimitrov. The 38-year-old’s big match against the 28-year-old will have plenty of agony and tension, as Federer has never lost an ATP match to Dimitrov in their encounters so far. Their race is expected to begin at 4:00 in the morning at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
